The large majority of private clients receiving commercialization-assistance services from John Balsam are the individual entrepreneurs and small technology firms who received R&D awards from one or more of the above public entities. John Balsam Associates has been accepting an increasing number of requests for assistance from individuals and firms that are not participating in some public funding program. For these clients, we concentrate our activities in two primary areas—(a) performing in-depth market research and commercialization-planning services for technology-based clients and (2) providing proposal-development assistance to clients engaged in pursuing SBIR/STTR or other federal or state funding opportunities.
